I grew up in southern California where I spent most of my time surfing and sailing. Truthfully, were it not for water sports I probably would have wound up in jail.
After my required three years in the Army, my wife and I moved to Athens, Greece where I earned my BA at The American College of Greece. Between working as a charter boat skipper and a full load of classes, we adopted our daughter, Lisa. Back in the States I earned my MBA at Regent University in Virginia.
To paraphrase Neil Diamond, we lived "like two wildflowers that grow on stones" and flourished in all manner of environments. I lived and worked in five European countries for fifteen years, with additional work or travel in 108 countries as an international marketing executive for the pleasure boat industry. Following a year in Afghanistan with USAID, in 2012, I founded BiographyMasters, a biography writing and publishing service.
To date I have written nearly forty books including award-winning novels, biographies, inspirational books, and memoirs. Better yet, my wife, Karen, is a partner on the writing end of things and we live, write, and work in northeast Florida and Tuscany, Italy.
